How an Oman final settlement is worked out

Under Article 61 of Royal Decree 53/2023, a non-Omani worker gets at least one month of final basic salary for each year of service, with part years pro-rata. Unused leave in Oman is paid on gross wage (basic + allowances) ÷ 30 a day, and so are notice pay in lieu and unpaid salary days.

End-of-service benefit: At least one month of final basic salary per year of service.
Leave encashment: Unused leave days × gross wage ÷ 30.
Notice pay in lieu: Notice days not worked × gross wage ÷ 30.
Unpaid salary: Days worked since your last payday × gross wage ÷ 30.
