Overtime pay, UAEAED 308.22
Overtime is paid per hour on top of your salary. The calculator first turns your basic monthly salary into an hourly wage (basic × 12 ÷ 365 ÷ 8 hours), then multiplies each overtime hour by the premium your country's labour law sets for that type of hour. Saudi Arabia is the exception: Article 107 adds 50% of the basic hourly wage to your full hourly wage including allowances.

How long the working week is, what's normal for overtime and what else you're owed, country by country:
On basic salary. The hourly wage is your basic monthly salary × 12 ÷ 365 ÷ 8 working hours, and each overtime hour adds 25% on top (50% for night hours between 10pm and 4am, and for rest days or public holidays). Housing and transport allowances are not part of the calculation, which is why a low basic salary shrinks your overtime pay.
Article 107 of the Saudi Labour Law pays every overtime hour at your actual hourly wage (basic plus fixed allowances) plus 50% of your basic hourly wage. The same rate applies to rest days and public holidays, so the calculator asks for one total of hours plus your allowances.
UAE law caps overtime at 2 hours a day. Enter the number of days you worked overtime and the calculator warns you if your hours average more than that.
In the UAE the employer either pays your hourly basic plus 50% or gives you a replacement day off. In Oman, rest-day overtime is paid at double the hourly wage. In Saudi Arabia it is paid at the normal Article 107 overtime rate. Qatar's rest-day rate isn't in our verified rules yet, so the calculator leaves those hours out rather than guess.
Overtime worked between 9pm and 6am in Qatar is paid at the hourly wage plus 50%. Daytime overtime is paid at the hourly wage plus 25%.
Keep a record of your hours (timesheets, access-card logs, messages asking you to stay late) and raise it with HR in writing first. If it isn't resolved, you can file a complaint with the labour ministry in your country, such as MOHRE in the UAE. This calculator gives you the figure to quote.
