Overtime pay, UAEAED 308.22
UAE overtime is paid on basic salary. Your hourly basic is basic × 12 ÷ 365 ÷ 8 normal working hours, the method u.ae uses. Each normal overtime hour is paid at that rate plus 25%. Hours between 10pm and 4am are paid at plus 50%, and so is work on your rest day or a public holiday — unless the employer gives you a replacement day off instead. Overtime can't go above 2 hours a day.

On basic salary. Your hourly basic is basic × 12 ÷ 365 ÷ 8, and housing, transport and other allowances are not part of it. On a AED 15,000 package with a AED 6,000 basic, overtime is worked out from the AED 6,000.
Normal overtime is paid at the hourly basic plus 25%. Overtime between 10pm and 4am, and work on a rest day or public holiday, is paid at the hourly basic plus 50%.
