How annual leave and sick pay are calculated in the GCC
Annual leave builds up month by month through each leave year. Leave salary is the pay for those days: the monthly salary the law uses (basic in the UAE, full wage in Saudi Arabia and Oman) divided by 30, for each day. Sick leave works differently: each country pays a set number of days in full, then a reduced percentage, then nothing, per year of service.
