How the CV is compared with the job ad

The job ad is split into keywords — known skills and tools (IFRS, SAP, AutoCAD, NEBOSH…), acronyms and repeated terms — while boilerplate like 'competitive salary' is ignored. How is the match score calculated?

The checker pulls the skills, tools, certifications and repeated terms out of your job ad, marks the ones in the requirements section (or next to words like 'must' and 'required') as required, and looks for each one in the CV. Required keywords count double. The score is the share of that weight the CV covers.

Can I reject a candidate on a low score?

Don't. Candidates describe the same skill in different words, and some write very short CVs. Use the score to decide who to call first and what to ask, then judge the candidate on the call or in the interview.

What are the requirement checks?

If your ad asks for a number of years' experience, Arabic or English, a driving licence or a degree, the checker looks for them in the CV. Years come from what the CV states or from the span of its dated roles, so treat them as approximate.
