Offer Letter Generator for the UAE & Saudi Arabia

How do I write a job offer letter that works in the UAE or Saudi Arabia?

Fill in the role, salary and terms to get a Gulf-format offer letter for the UAE, Saudi Arabia or Qatar, in English, Arabic or both. Probation, notice and leave wording follows each country's labour law.

How the offer letter is put together

The letter follows the format Gulf HR teams use: letterhead details and reference, the candidate's name, a subject line, the offer, then numbered sections for start date, monthly salary (basic and each allowance, with the total), probation, notice, annual leave, benefits and conditions, and a signature and acceptance block. The country you choose sets the currency, the labour-law name and the default probation, notice and leave wording. Empty fields stay as highlighted [placeholders] so nothing goes out half-filled by accident.

Basic salary
Fixed monthly pay before allowances. Gratuity and leave pay are usually based on it.
Allowances
Housing, transport and other fixed monthly payments listed separately from basic.
Unlimited contract
A contract with no end date (indefinite). Fixed-term contracts end on a set date.
WPS / Mudad
The Wage Protection System that salaries are paid through (Mudad in Saudi Arabia).
Qiwa
Saudi Arabia's labour platform, where employment contracts are documented.

Defaults come from our labour-law library. You can change probation and notice in the form.

Before you send it

  • This is a template, not legal advice. The signed employment contract sets the binding terms — make sure the two match.
  • Check salary figures against what you will pay through WPS / Mudad; the totals must match the payroll.
  • Companies in DIFC and ADGM follow their own employment laws, not the UAE Labour Law — adjust the probation, notice and gratuity wording.
  • Paste onto your letterhead, sign and stamp. An unsigned letter on plain paper carries little weight.

Frequently asked questions

What should a job offer letter in the UAE or Saudi Arabia include?

+

The job title, work location, start date, contract type, the monthly salary split into basic salary and each allowance, probation, notice period, annual leave, key benefits (medical insurance, air ticket, visa costs), the conditions of the offer and an accept-by date. Gulf offer letters always split basic pay from allowances because end-of-service gratuity and leave pay are usually calculated on basic salary.

Is an offer letter legally binding?

+

An offer letter is a conditional promise; the employment contract is what labour authorities enforce. In the UAE the contract is registered with MOHRE, in Saudi Arabia it is documented on Qiwa, and in Qatar it is authenticated by the Ministry of Labour. Keep the salary, probation and notice terms in your letter identical to the contract, or the contract will prevail and the candidate may lose trust.

How long can probation be in the GCC?

+

UAE: up to 6 months; during probation 14 days' notice applies, or 30 days if the employee resigns to join another UAE employer. Saudi Arabia: up to 90 days, extendable to 180 days by written agreement. Qatar: up to 6 months. Leave the probation field blank and the letter uses these maximums.

Do I need an Arabic offer letter?

+

Saudi labour law requires employment contracts to be in Arabic (a translation can sit alongside, but the Arabic text prevails), and UAE MOHRE contracts are bilingual. An English-only offer letter is common, but sending the Arabic version too avoids disputes about wording later. This generator writes both from the same details; choose English, Arabic or Both.

What notice period should the offer letter state?

+

In the UAE the contract must set a notice period between 30 and 90 days. In Saudi Arabia, for an unlimited contract, the employee gives 30 days' notice and the employer 60 days. In Qatar an employee changing jobs gives one month's notice with up to two years' service and two months after that.

Can I add the letter to our company letterhead?

+

Yes — that's the intended use. Copy the text or download the .txt, paste it onto your letterhead, then sign and stamp it. 'Print / Save as PDF' gives a clean A4 page with English and Arabic side by side when you choose Both.
