What should I call this job so the right Gulf candidates find it?
The generator puts the level in front of the role (Trainee, Junior, Senior, Lead) and the specialism just before the role, so 'Accountant' + Senior + Payroll becomes 'Senior Payroll Accountant'. Supervisor, Manager, Head of and Director titles are built from the department instead ('Finance Manager', 'Head of Sales'). The job-board version adds the city and work model after a dash. For Arabic, it looks the role up in our English–Arabic glossary of 200+ Gulf job titles and adds the level the way Gulf ads do (محاسب أول), or builds department titles (مدير المالية). Every title is checked for length, hype words, internal grades and gendered words.
| Role | Level | Job-board title | Arabic title |
|---|---|---|---|
| Accountant · Payroll | Senior | Senior Payroll Accountant – Dubai (Hybrid) | محاسب أول |
| Civil Engineer | Lead | Lead Civil Engineer – Riyadh | مهندس مدني رئيسي |
| Recruiter | Junior | Junior Recruiter – Doha | أخصائي توظيف مبتدئ |
| Sales · Sales | Manager | Sales Manager – Kuwait City | مدير المبيعات |
Arabic titles use the masculine form, as Gulf ads usually do; add /ة to show the job is open to everyone (e.g. محاسب/ة).
Look up any other title in the Arabic job title translator, then drop your title into the job ad template or the job description generator.
The plain title candidates type into a job board — 'Senior Accountant', not 'Finance Ninja' or 'Officer II'. Put the level first, add a specialism only if it changes who should apply, keep it under 60 characters and leave the city and work model for after a dash. Internal grades, hype words, 'URGENT' and ALL CAPS all lower how often an ad is found and clicked.
On a job board, yes — after a dash: 'Senior Accountant – Dubai (Hybrid)'. Gulf candidates filter by city first, and Google often shows the title with the location. In your offer letter and visa paperwork, use the title alone.
Use the standard Gulf term for the role (محاسب for accountant, مهندس مدني for civil engineer) and add the level after it: أول for senior (محاسب أول), رئيسي for lead, متدرب for trainee. Manager, head and director titles are built from the department: مدير المالية, رئيس قسم الحسابات, مدير إدارة المبيعات. The generator does this for the 200+ titles in our glossary and tells you when it doesn't know a title.
The job title on the work permit, the employment contract and the offer letter should describe the same job. A mismatch can cause questions at visa stage and confuses the candidate. Pick a market title for the ad that is close to the official occupation you'll register, and keep it consistent.
Use 'Senior' in the title and the years in the requirements ('5–8 years of relevant experience'). Titles stay short and searchable, and candidates can still see exactly what level you mean.
