Graduate Job Ad Template

How do you write a graduate job ad that attracts fresh graduates in the Gulf — without age limits?

A graduate job ad for GCC employers: degree subjects, graduation years, how graduates will learn, salary and nationals-preferred wording — in English and Arabic, with no age limits.

How the graduate job ad is built

The ad opens with the job title, the programme name and the company, then explains the programme in plain words: which degree subjects you're looking for, which graduation years can apply and when the programme starts. It says up front that internships, projects and part-time work count, because graduates otherwise rule themselves out. 'How you'll learn' lists rotations, mentoring and sponsored exams; then come duties, must-haves, salary and benefits, visa terms and how to apply. The role is posted as entry level.

Rotation
A fixed spell (often 3–6 months) in one team before moving to the next.
Graduation years
The years a candidate finished their degree — the fair way to target fresh graduates.
Nationals preferred
A lawful preference for citizens under Emiratisation, Saudization and similar programmes.

Before you post it

  • Don't add an age limit or 'recent graduates only' — use graduation years instead.
  • Keep requirements realistic for someone without full-time experience: a degree subject, a few skills, languages.
  • Make sure the start date and salary match the offer letters you'll send the cohort.
  • Have a native speaker check the Arabic before publishing.

Hiring nationals or students?

Check your national hiring target with the Emiratisation calculator or the Saudized jobs list. Taking students for a few months instead? Use the internship ad template.

Frequently asked questions

How do I target fresh graduates without an age limit?

+

Name the graduation years you're hiring from ('2025 or 2026 graduates') and the degree subjects, and say that internships, projects and part-time work count as experience. That reaches the same people as 'aged under 25' without excluding career changers or people who studied later — and age limits are among the phrases candidates and job boards flag as discriminatory. The template adds a line welcoming career changers with equivalent skills.

What do graduates look for in a graduate job ad?

+

How they'll learn (rotations, a mentor, sponsored exams or certifications), what they'll actually do in the first months, the salary, and when the programme starts. The 'How you'll learn' section comes before the duties for that reason — it's the part graduates compare between employers.

Can I say the programme is for UAE or Saudi nationals?

+

Yes. Choose 'Nationals preferred' under visa and the ad words it for the country you pick, in line with Emiratisation or Saudization. Many Gulf graduate programmes are built around national hiring targets. If you're hiring Emiratis, check what support your company may qualify for under Nafis with our Emiratisation calculator; Saudi employers can look at HRDF (Hadaf) training programmes for Saudi graduates.

Should a graduate role show the salary?

+

Yes. Graduates apply widely and compare offers on salary first. A monthly range also stops you interviewing people whose expectations you can't meet. Check the entry-level band for your role with the salary range checker.

What's the difference between a graduate job and an internship?

+

A graduate job is a permanent role for people who have finished their degree, usually with a structured first year. An internship is a fixed-term placement, often for students still studying, with a stipend rather than a salary. If you're hiring students for a few months, use the internship ad template instead.
