Boolean from Job Description
Can I turn my job description into a search string automatically?
Paste the ad. We read the title, skills under each heading and any GCC city — in your browser.
Matched "Accountant" — pick synonyms below.
Comma-separated, e.g. internal or company-specific titles.
Comma-separated. Keep it to 1–3: every extra AND shrinks the results.
Comma-separated alternatives, e.g. tools or certifications.
Add a skill for Accountant
Words that signal the wrong profile, e.g. intern, student, recruiter.
Cities and country names as people write them on profiles. Comma-separated.
LinkedIn search (keywords box)
(Accountant OR "Senior Accountant" OR "General Accountant") AND IFRS AND VAT AND SAP AND (ACCA OR CPA OR "corporate tax" OR "Power BI") NOT (intern OR trainee)
- Put the location in LinkedIn's Locations filter, not in the keywords — location words in keywords also match people who only mention the city.
- AND, OR and NOT must be in capitals. LinkedIn doesn't support the * wildcard.
Google X-ray (LinkedIn profiles)
site:linkedin.com/in (Accountant OR "Senior Accountant" OR "General Accountant") IFRS VAT SAP (ACCA OR CPA OR "corporate tax" OR "Power BI") (Dubai OR UAE) -intern -trainee -intitle:jobs -inurl:jobs -inurl:dir -inurl:posts
- Google only shows public profiles it has indexed, so results are a sample — not every LinkedIn member.
- Open results in a private window if LinkedIn asks you to sign in.
ATS / CV database (with location)
(Accountant OR "Senior Accountant" OR "General Accountant") AND IFRS AND VAT AND SAP AND (ACCA OR CPA OR "corporate tax" OR "Power BI") AND (Dubai OR UAE) NOT (intern OR trainee)
- Works in most ATS and CV-database keyword boxes that accept AND / OR / NOT.
Search and post at the same time
Sourcing finds people who aren't looking. A free job post on MenaJobs lets the ones who are looking find you.
Every string above in one email — paste them into LinkedIn, Google or your ATS later.
From job ad to search string
The tool splits your job description into sections by its headings. Skills under Requirements or Qualifications count as must-haves; anything under Nice to have, Preferred or Desirable becomes optional. Skills are matched against a curated list of tools, certifications and GCC licences, in the order the ad mentions them. The first three must-haves stay as AND terms and the rest move to an OR group, so the search isn't too narrow. The title is matched to our English and Arabic synonyms list, and any Gulf city or country in the text becomes the location group. Everything is editable before you copy.
- Must-have
- A skill every result must mention (joined with AND).
- Nice-to-have
- Optional skills — any one is enough (an OR group).
- X-ray
- A Google search limited to LinkedIn profile pages with site:linkedin.com/in.
What it pulls from the sample job description
The sample ad loaded in the tool (a Senior Accountant in Dubai) gives these search terms:
| Part of the search | Found |
|---|---|
| Job title | Senior Accountant |
| Matched role (for synonyms) | Accountant |
| Must-have skills (first 3) | IFRS, VAT, SAP |
| Nice-to-have (any of) | ACCA, CPA, corporate tax, Power BI |
| Locations | Dubai, UAE |
| Years of experience mentioned | 5+ |
Check before you search
- Job ads often list wish-list items. Keep only the skills you would really reject someone for as must-haves.
- Company-specific tools and internal titles aren't in our list — add them by hand.
- Years of experience can't be searched reliably with keywords; judge it from the profile.

Frequently asked questions
How does it turn a job description into a Boolean search?
It reads the first line as the job title and matches it to our list of GCC roles to suggest synonyms. It then looks for skills, tools, licences and certifications it recognises (IFRS, SAP, NEBOSH, DHA, PMP and about 300 others), sorting them into must-haves and nice-to-haves by the heading they sit under, and picks up any GCC city or country. Those become the title, AND, OR and location parts of the string.
Why does it keep only three must-have skills?
Job descriptions list far more requirements than any one profile mentions. A string with eight ANDs usually returns almost nobody. The tool keeps the first three skills the ad mentions as must-haves and moves the rest into the 'any of' group, which is how experienced sourcers write strings. You can move skills between the two boxes.
Is my job description uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. The text is only sent if you choose to email yourself the strings or post the job.
It missed a skill. What can I do?
Type it into the must-have or nice-to-have box — the strings update straight away. The extractor only picks up terms from its list so it never invents skills that aren't in your ad; niche or company-specific tools need adding by hand.
Does it work with Arabic job descriptions?
It recognises Arabic job titles from our list and GCC cities written in Arabic, and Latin-script skills (like SAP or IFRS) inside Arabic text. For the best results paste the English version, then tick 'Include Arabic titles'.
