How do I write stronger resume bullet points?

How the bullet generator builds each line
You describe one thing you did, how much of it and what changed. The tool strips weak openers like "responsible for" and "helped with", then rebuilds the line in three to five ways: result first (the XYZ formula), verb first with the scope in brackets, and an alternative verb. Check mode grades each pasted bullet out of 100: 35 points for a strong opening verb, 35 for a number, 20 for a length of 8 to 30 words, and 10 for avoiding weak phrases.

Read every bullet before you use it
- The generator rearranges your own words. It can't know if a result is true, so never add numbers you can't back up in an interview.
- Grammar is pattern-based. Some combinations read awkwardly; edit them or pick a different opening verb.
- A high check score means the bullet is well built, not that it's relevant. Match your bullets to the job ad too.
- Industry verbs are suggestions. Pick the one that describes what you actually did.

What is the XYZ formula for resume bullet points?
It's a pattern popularised by Laszlo Bock, Google's former head of people operations: 'Accomplished X, as measured by Y, by doing Z'. X is the result, Y is the number that proves it and Z is what you did. For example: 'Cut invoice approval time by 30% across 400 invoices a month by moving approvals into SAP.'
How many bullet points should each job have on a Gulf CV?
Three to six for recent roles and one to three for older ones is a common guide. Gulf recruiters often skim a CV in well under a minute, so lead each role with your strongest, most measurable achievement.
What if I don't have numbers for my achievements?
Almost every job has something countable: how many customers, invoices, patients, sites or staff you handled, the budget you managed, how often you did something, or how much time a change saved. A careful estimate ("about 40 a day") is fine as long as you can explain it in an interview.
Why is 'responsible for' bad on a CV?
It describes a duty, not an achievement, and every other candidate in the same role had the same duty. Starting with an action verb and adding a result shows what changed because you were there, which is what recruiters shortlist on.
Should Gulf CV bullet points be different from UK or US ones?
The bullet style is the same. What differs is the context around them: Gulf recruiters also expect nationality, visa status and notice period near the top of the CV. Mentioning GCC-specific scope, like multi-country coverage, Arabic-speaking clients or regulators such as the FTA or SAMA, helps too.
