1. Who we are and what this covers

This policy covers the MenaJobs Chrome extension (“the extension”). It helps job seekers in the Gulf apply for jobs: it checks if a job posting is safe and worth applying to, then fills the application form from your MenaJobs profile. You always press Submit yourself.

The extension is run by TERRANOAH ECOM VENTURES (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED, which operates MenaJobs.me (“we”, “us”). Our main Privacy Policy covers the MenaJobs website. Where the two differ about the extension, this page wins.

2. The short version

Nothing leaves your browser until you press Agree on the first-run screen.
The extension does nothing on its own. It only reads a page when you click Check or Fill.
We never record your browsing history and never read pages in the background.
We never press Submit for you.
We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and there is no third-party tracking inside the extension.
Disconnect any time. Delete your account and the extension data goes with it.

3. Consent before anything is sent

When you install the extension, it opens a screen that explains what is sent and when. Until you press Agree, no job page address, profile data or other personal data leaves your browser. The free checks that run fully inside your browser work the same either way.

4. What we collect, when, and why

We only collect what the extension needs to check a job and fill an application. Nothing else.

Job page address, job title and company name

When: Only when you click “Check this job”

Why: To see if MenaJobs lists the job, when it was posted, and if it was posted again (old or duplicate job). The scam, nationals-only and salary checks read the page text inside your browser. The page text itself is not sent.

Your first name, email and whether your profile is ready

When: While the extension is connected to your account

Why: To show who is signed in, your plan and how many fills and written answers you have left. Your full profile and CV are not sent at this point.

Your profile: name, email, phone, LinkedIn link, work history, education, skills, languages and your CV file

When: Only when you click “Fill” on an application form

Why: To fill the form for you. It comes from your MenaJobs account to your browser. It is kept in the browser's temporary memory, which clears when you close the browser. The CV file is never saved in the browser.

Gulf details: nationality, visa status, current country and city, notice period, expected salary and currency, and (optional) date of birth

When: When you add or edit them in the extension, and when you click “Fill”

Why: Gulf application forms ask for these. We store them so you don't type them again on every form.

Applications log: the form's website and page address (without the part after “?”), job title, company, form type and stage (started, form reached, submitted)

When: When you fill a form

Why: So you can see your applications at menajobs.me/applications, and so a re-fill of the same application isn't counted twice.

Fill counts: the form's website, how many fields were filled or left empty, and for each field we couldn't fill: its type (for example a dropdown), which detail it was for (for example phone, or 'other question') and why it was left empty (for example 'no choice matched')

When: After a fill

Why: To learn which forms we fill badly and fix them. These are totals per website and month, not linked to you or your account. Field counts only: we never record the question, its choices, what you typed or what was filled in.

Questions you ask for help with (and their answer choices, and the job details on that page)

When: Only when you click to get an answer or a cover letter written, or ask in the chat

Why: To write a draft answer. You read and edit it before anything goes into the form.

Saved answers: answers we write for you, and answers you save with “Remember this answer”

When: When an answer is written for you, or when you click “Remember this answer”

Why: So the same question on another form is answered at once, without writing it again. We store the question, the answer and the type of job website. They are stored on our servers under your account. Some general answers that were written without any of your CV or profile details (for example a standard reply to a common question) may be reused for other users. They hold no personal data.

Tailored CVs: the job title, company, job description, target country and visa type, and the tailored CV we make

When: Only when you click “Tailored CV for this job”

Why: To write a version of your CV for that job. The request and the tailored CV are saved in your MenaJobs account so you can open and download it.

CV pack credits

When: When you buy a CV pack on menajobs.me, and each time you make a tailored CV with a credit

Why: To know how many tailored CVs you have left. We store your credit balance and which payment added credits.

Connection key (sign-in token)

When: When you connect the extension to your MenaJobs account

Why: To prove requests come from you. We store only a one-way scrambled copy (a hash), never the key itself.

Install ID

When: Created once when you install the extension

Why: A random code that identifies this copy of the extension, not you. Used to connect it to your account and to stop abuse of the free job check.

Usage counters: fills, written answers and cost, per month or day

When: When you fill or ask for an answer

Why: To apply the free limits (5 fills and 3 written answers a month) and protect against abuse.

What we never collect: your browsing history, pages you didn't click Check or Fill on, passwords for job websites, keystrokes, or what you type into forms.

5. Where it goes

The extension talks to menajobs.me only. It does not send your data straight to any other company. From our servers, data is handled by:

MenaJobs and our hosting provider (Gadget)

Our app and database run on Gadget (gadget.dev), which hosts them on Google Cloud. Everything the extension sends is stored there.

AI providers (only when you ask for a written answer, cover letter, chat reply or tailored CV)

The question, the job details from that page and the CV details needed to answer it are sent to:

Google (Gemini): writes the extension's answers, cover letters and chat replies, and tailored CVs.
Anthropic (Claude) and xAI (Grok): used only for tailored CVs, as backups if Google is unavailable.

We use their paid business services, whose terms do not let them train their models on your data. Extension requests never go to free AI models.

Razorpay (payments, on the website only)

If you upgrade, you pay on menajobs.me, not inside the extension. Razorpay processes the payment. The extension never sees your card or bank details. See Razorpay's Privacy Policy.

We do not share extension data with advertisers, data brokers or employers. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

6. No selling, no ads

We do not sell or rent your data, ever.
We do not use extension data for advertising, ad targeting or ad audiences.
We do not use it to decide creditworthiness or for lending.
There are no ads and no affiliate links inside the extension.

7. Limited use

The use of information received from the MenaJobs Chrome extension will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

That means we use it only to provide and improve the extension's single purpose (checking jobs and filling applications), we don't transfer it except as described above or required by law, and people at MenaJobs don't read it unless you ask us for help, it's needed for security or abuse checks, or the law requires it.

8. How long we keep it

Profile in your browser: until you close the browser or click Disconnect. The CV file is never saved in the browser.
Job checks: we keep no page address. Only an hourly counter (a scrambled code made from your IP address and install ID, plus a number) to stop abuse. These counters are deleted within 30 days.
Gulf details: until you change them or delete your account.
Applications log: until you delete your account.
Saved answers: the ones under your account are kept until you delete your account. General answers with no personal data are kept to help other users.
Tailored CVs and CV pack credits: until you delete your account. Credits do not expire.
Fill counts: these are not linked to you. We keep them to improve the extension.
Usage counters: daily counters are deleted after 90 days, monthly counters after 13 months.
Connection keys: a disconnected key stops working at once, and its record (scrambled copy, device label, dates) is deleted 30 days later. A key not used for 180 days is disconnected for you.
AI providers: keep requests only as long as their business terms allow for abuse monitoring, then delete them.

9. How to disconnect or delete your data

Disconnect: in the extension, open the Applications tab and click Disconnect. Or go to menajobs.me/extension/connect and disconnect any browser. This stops the key working and clears your details from that browser.
Remove the extension: removing it from Chrome deletes everything it saved in your browser.
Delete everything: email [email protected] from your account email and ask us to delete your account. We delete your account and all extension data (Gulf details, applications log, saved answers, tailored CVs, CV pack credits, counters and keys) within 30 days, except payment records the law requires us to keep.

10. Security

All traffic goes over HTTPS. We store only a one-way scrambled copy of your connection key. Your Gulf details and applications log can only be read by your own account. The extension does not load code from the internet. It may download small data files (like which form fields to fill), never code.

11. Children

The extension is for job seekers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change what the extension collects or how we use it, we will tell you inside the extension and ask you to agree again before the change applies to you. We will also update the date at the top of this page. Small wording fixes that don't change what we do are just dated here.

What changed on October 11, 2026: fill counts now also record the type of field we couldn't fill and why, and multiple-choice questions you ask us to answer are sent with their answer choices. The extension asks you to agree to this before it applies.
