Senior Manager – Trade Sales

Organization Unit Purpose

• The Transaction Banking Services (TBS) unit provides a full-featured product suite covering Trade and Supply Chain Finance, Cash Management and Payment Solutions which enables clients to optimize their working capital and also build efficiency and automation in their day-to-day business operations.

• TBS provides an integrated single window approach for all transactional requirements of its corporate clientele across various segments and sectors such as commercial, government and financial institutions. It aims at assisting them with innovative financing and payment solutions as well as offers the convenience of interacting with the bank, away from traditional means.

The Transaction Banking team continuously interacts with CFO’s and Treasury Teams of its corporate clients and is committed to build strong relationships by meeting their underlying organizational objectives.

Job Purpose

Large C&IB clients often have customized / bespoke solution requirement which requires an end-to-end management of the deal process (providing required solutions, Legal documentation, Accounting, customized processing and monitoring requirements). Such solutions also require alignment with internal stakeholders to ensure proper approval and guidance are in place to ensure end-to-end booking of such transactions. A solutioning approach is required as complex transactions particularly with key large C&IB may require bespoke solutions and need to advise, structure, and execute such transactions. The job holder will be accountable for developing and driving end to end origination to execution of such deals in transaction banking for the Bank.

• Manage overall C&IB Client portfolio on stand-alone basis and offer advisory for structuring and solutioning complex and bespoke deals, overseeing the entire process from origination to execution, and delivering customized Transaction Banking solutions for clients in the C&IB sector

• Scope and drive new/ additional trade business opportunity along with the Coverage Relationship Manager for respective Business Group with an objective to drive trade utilization, grow Trade Asset books and generate additional revenue streams for the bank

• Provide Solutioning advisory for both local and cross-border deals of a complex and bespoke nature. This includes working with coverage teams on execution of Transaction Banking solutions for large corporates in the C&IB space

• To work with coverage team for Transaction Banking vide an end-to-end deal workflow and process including engaging with various internal (Coverage, Credit, Legal & Compliance, Operations, IT, Regional counterparts etc.) and external stakeholders (Client, Insurance brokers, Credit insurance, Vendors etc.) to achieve successful deal conversion and outcomes

• Expertise and in-depth knowledge of product structure offerings and risk considerations and system capabilities

• To ensure alignment of the Transaction Banking deal structures as per product guidelines and processes and the Bank’s regulatory, compliance and operational risk policies.

Product Revenue

• Identify opportunities in the existing portfolio for growth of Trade Revenue

• Drive the achievement of product specific targets covering Structured Trade Solutions – Receivable Finance, SCF, Prepayment Finance, Borrowing base etc.

Solution Efficient time to revenue

• Work with RM to take the lead in originating, structuring, selling, legal and documentation, and monitoring of Bespoke deals

Enhance mandate winning capability

• Advisory approach to enhance winning capability of the deal

Improve the Banks profile as a provider of structured, complex and advisory based Transaction Banking Solutions

• Establish ENBD as a comprehensive provider of Transaction Banking solutions aimed at end-to-end solutions for the client.

Education

Finance graduate with management degree

Experiences

10+ years of banking industry experience with Transaction Banking experience for atleast 5-7 years. Should have a good understanding of Transaction Banking products and preferred knowledge of Islamic Trade Finance

Knowledge & Skills

Technical knowledge on Trade Products including LC’s, Guarantees, Receivable Finance & Supply Chain Finance

Behavioral Competencies

Work closely with Relationship team and other internal; stakeholders
