We’re looking for an experienced Chief Engineer with the technical expertise and hands-on leadership to keep our hotel running at its best. You’ll lead and inspire our Engineering team, stay ahead of maintenance needs, and ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for every guest and colleague.

A little taste of your day-to-day

• Lead the hotel Engineering & Maintenance team and ensure efficient daily operations.

• Maintain all hotel facilities, plant, equipment, MEP systems, guest rooms, and public areas to the required standards.

• Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

• Ensure compliance with IHG standards, local regulations, fire & life safety requirements, and health & safety procedures.

• Manage energy conservation and sustainability initiatives while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.

• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, CAPEX requirements, maintenance contracts, and engineering-related projects.

• Conduct regular inspections and ensure engineering issues are resolved promptly to support excellent guest experiences.

• Lead, coach, train, and develop the Engineering team while promoting a strong culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Coordinate effectively with hotel leadership, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities.

What do we need from you?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• Strong GCC experience is required, preferably within the hospitality industry.

• Previous experience as a Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, Director of Engineering, or similar senior engineering role in a reputable international hotel.

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BMS, fire & life safety systems, preventive maintenance, and energy management.

• Good understanding of hotel engineering operations, budgeting, CAPEX planning, project management, and regulatory compliance.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and team-management skills.

• Experience within IHG or another international hotel brand will be an advantage.
