Business Development Director MEA - LSHC

We’re hiring: Business Development Director – Life Sciences & Healthcare (LSHC), MEA

DHL Supply Chain is looking for an experienced commercial leader to drive our Life Sciences & Healthcare growth agenda across the Middle East & Africa.

This is a key regional role for someone who combines deep Contract Logistics and LSHC sector expertise with the ability to identify opportunities, build strategic customer relationships and translate complex customer needs into innovative supply chain solutions.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and execute the MEA LSHC Business Development strategy, driving sustainable revenue, profitability and market share growth
• Identify, develop and secure strategic Life Sciences & Healthcare opportunities across the region
• Build a strong sector pipeline and accelerate growth with key strategic customers
• Lead complex RFIs, RFQs and RFPs, working across functions to develop competitive, sector-specific supply chain solutions
• Lead commercial negotiations and champion consultative, value-based selling
• Build strong relationships with LSHC customers, industry stakeholders and associations across MEA
• Partner closely with Country Business Development teams, Operations, Solution Design, Regional Sector teams and other DHL divisions to unlock growth opportunities
• Bring market and customer insights into our regional strategy and help strengthen our LSHC proposition
• Support and develop the regional LSHC business development community, promoting collaboration and sharing best practice across MEA

What we’re looking for:

• You’ll bring extensive Business Development experience within Contract Logistics, with strong exposure to the Life Sciences & Healthcare sector and a proven track record of winning and growing complex business.
• You’ll have a strong understanding of LSHC supply chains, customer requirements and industry standards, combined with commercial acumen, strategic thinking and the ability to influence across countries and functions in a matrix organization.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or a related discipline is required; an MBA is an advantage. Fluency in English is essential, with additional regional language skills an advantage.
