- Collaborate with curators and exhibit teams to gather relevant content that complements physical exhibitions and enhances the online experience
- Manage online interactions by responding to followers, engaging in meaningful conversations, and fostering a positive online museum community
- Use social media tools (polls, Q&A sessions, live streaming, etc.) to create interactive elements, keeping audiences engaged and informed
- Work with educational teams to promote learning programs, encouraging content sharing and participation through social media channels
- Develop partnerships with other museums, cultural institutions, and influencers to amplify the museum’s reach and enhance audience interaction
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to align social media efforts with broader institutional marketing initiatives
- Track social media performance using analytics tools to evaluate campaign success, engagement rates, and content effectiveness
- Use data insights to optimize content, identify trends, and enhance audience engagement with exhibitions and museum events
- Assist in managing the museum’s online presence during crises or urgent issues, ensuring timely, accurate communication with followers
- Develop contingency plans for social media during exhibit delays, event changes, or operational disruptions
- Work closely with curators, exhibit designers, and educators to ensure social media content is aligned with exhibit goals, themes, and institutional strategies
- Coordinate with external vendors and agencies for social media advertising and sponsored content
- Perform other reasonable tasks as assignedMinimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Media Studies, Advertising, or a related field
- 2–5 years of full-time experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably in the arts, culture, or museum sectors
- A history of designing and executing social media campaigns that drive audience engagement and promote cultural or educational programs
- Experience producing multimedia content such as videos, graphics, and interactive media for digital platforms
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and tools, including Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and emerging platforms
- Expertise in digital storytelling and creating engaging, platform-specific content
- Familiarity with analytics tools for tracking social media performance and optimizing content
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
- Proficiency in multimedia production tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or video editing software
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
Requirements
