A leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified and experienced Specialist Pulmonologist to join its medical team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing respiratory diseases, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and interstitial lung diseases.

• Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs), arterial blood gases, and diagnostic imaging.

• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures, including bronchoscopy, within approved clinical privileges.

• Manage patients with respiratory infections, pulmonary fibrosis, and sleep-related breathing disorders.

• Provide specialized care for patients with complex pulmonary conditions and respiratory failure.

• Collaborate with critical care, internal medicine, and other multidisciplinary teams.

• Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust management plans based on clinical progress.

• Educate patients on respiratory disease prevention, smoking cessation, and long-term disease management.

• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with DOH regulations and hospital policies.

• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical qualification.

• Recognized postgraduate specialization in Pulmonology / Respiratory Medicine.

• Valid DOH Specialist License or Eligibility Letter, or eligibility to obtain one.

• Relevant post-qualification clinical experience in accordance with UAE PQR requirements.

• Strong expertise in pulmonary diagnostics, respiratory disease management, and clinical procedures.

• Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and patient management skills.
