Specialist Pediatric Emergency Medicine -Western Qualified/Government Healthcare

A government healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant in Pediatric Emergency Medicine – Western Qualified to provide specialized emergency care for infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring prompt assessment, stabilization, and management of acute illnesses and injuries.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage pediatric medical emergencies and acute illnesses.
• Stabilize critically ill or injured children and initiate appropriate emergency interventions.
• Manage pediatric trauma, respiratory distress, seizures, allergic reactions, and other urgent conditions.
• Perform emergency procedures within the scope of training and clinical privileges.
• Coordinate patient admissions, referrals, and transfers when required.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, emergency nurses, and multidisciplinary medical teams.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to clinical protocols and patient safety standards.

• Recognized specialist qualification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or an appropriate primary specialty with relevant pediatric emergency training.
• Western qualification or equivalent recognized specialist credentials.
• Relevant postgraduate training and clinical experience in pediatric emergency care.
• Experience managing acute pediatric illnesses, trauma, and life-threatening emergencies.
• Current professional registration and Good Standing Certificate, where applicable.
• Eligibility for UAE healthcare licensing through DHA, DOH, or MOHAP, subject to the relevant authority’s assessment.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department and participate in shift duties.
