- Participates in the implementation of approved curative/preventive programs as
they relate to Ophthalmology.Takes an active role in teaching activities provided for nursing & ancillary staff.
- Participates in committees as requested by the Medical Director.
- Strictly observes organizationās medical regulations and policies especially those related to
infection control, patient safety, patient assessment and patient care.
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as requested by the HOD.
- Participates in quality related activities programs as requested by the Medical Director.
- Orients new staff when requested to do so.
- Communicates regularly with HOD and other members of the service.
Requirements
- ā¢Knowledge of DoH standards for ophthalmological care
- ā¢Ability to participate in review of difficult and special cases
- ā¢Knowledge of current developments in ophthalmology
- ā¢Ability to coordinate curative and preventive patient care programs
- ā¢Knowledge of infection control and patient safety regulations
