Senior Sales Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and executing Emerson's Measurement Solutions growth strategy for modernization, migration, digitalization, reliability improvement, sustainability, and brownfield capital projects across Qatar.

This role drives project development from the earliest stages of opportunity identification through project award, engaging directly with end users, consultants, EPCs, and key stakeholders during Concept Select, Pre-FEED, FEED, and project execution phases. The position focuses on maximizing Emerson Measurement Solutions content, influencing specifications, and positioning Emerson as the preferred technology partner for brownfield and modernization projects.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Brownfield Projects & Modernization

• Identify, develop, and qualify brownfield, modernization, migration, digitalization, reliability, and sustainability projects involving Emerson Measurement Solutions technologies.
• Engage directly with end users to identify project opportunities and build project pipelines prior to EPC engagement.
• Drive opportunities through Conceptual Studies, Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC execution, and project award stages.
• Develop strategies to increase Emerson participation and market share within modernization and capital improvement projects.
• Identify business opportunities that create measurable value for customers through improved reliability, efficiency, and performance.End User & Consultant Engagement

• Develop strong relationships with plant management, operations, maintenance, engineering, project teams, consultants, and licensors.
• Influence project specifications and preferred vendor positioning during project definition and FEED stages.
• Position Emerson as a strategic partner for instrumentation modernization and measurement technology improvements.
• Support customers in identifying applications where Emerson technologies deliver operational and business value.Project Leadership Through EPC Phase

• Maintain ownership of project pursuits as opportunities move from end users to EPC contractors.
• Lead engagement activities with EPCs to protect specifications and secure Measurement Solutions scope.
• Coordinate technical, commercial, and strategic activities required to secure project awards.
• Develop and execute project pursuit strategies to maximize win rates and business growth.
• Support commercial negotiations and project closure activities.Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales Managers, Proposal Teams, Lifecycle Services, and Product Specialists to develop winning strategies.
• Collaborate with other Emerson Business Units on multi-BU opportunities while maintaining ownership of the Measurement Solutions scope.
• Support forecasting, project reviews, and strategic business planning activities.
• Ensure alignment between customer requirements and Emerson business objectives.Who You Are

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7 to 10+ years of experience in project sales, business development, or project pursuit activities.
• Experience in Measurement Solutions, instrumentation, analyzers, flow, level, pressure, temperature, gas detection, or automation industries.
• Proven experience engaging end users during Pre-FEED and FEED phases and driving opportunities through EPC execution.
• Strong understanding of brownfield modernization and capital project execution within Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Power, and Industrial sectors.
• Strong customer relationship management and business development skills.
• Experience working with major Qatar end users, consultants, and EPC contractors.Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
