Senior Sales Engineer

Job Summary

Emerson is seeking a highly motivated Senior Sales Engineer, Flow Controls to join our North Middle East team based in Doha, Qatar.

This role is responsible for driving growth within the Hydrocarbon, EPC, and Process Industries markets by identifying strategic project opportunities, influencing project specifications, and positioning Emerson Flow Controls solutions throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with EPCs, end users, consultants, OEMs, and internal stakeholders to develop and execute project pursuit strategies that deliver profitable growth and strengthen Emerson's market position.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Business Development & Project Pursuit

• Identify and qualify strategic capital project opportunities aligned with business objectives.
• Lead assigned project pursuits from early engagement stages (Pre-FEED/FEED) through purchase order award.
• Develop and execute project pursuit strategies that address customer business drivers and project requirements.
• Actively pursue new project leads and prequalification opportunities to position Emerson early in project lifecycles.
• Build influence with key stakeholders to maximize Emerson's value proposition and competitive advantage.
• Develop and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities to support business growth objectives.Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with EPC contractors, FEED consultants, OEMs, end users, and project influencers.
• Effectively communicate Emerson's value proposition to both technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with End User Sales Managers to align account strategies and project pursuits.
• Develop long-term customer relationships that enhance Emerson's market presence and customer loyalty.Sales Growth & Market Development

• Generate new sales opportunities through a deep understanding of process applications and customer operations.
• Identify opportunities where control valve solutions can improve efficiency, reliability, safety, and environmental performance.
• Drive brownfield project opportunities, MRO activities, and Lifecycle Services growth within assigned accounts.
• Conduct site surveys and customer visits to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Position Emerson Flow Controls as the preferred supplier through value-based selling and solution differentiation.Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning

• Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Provide market intelligence, forecasts, and business insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Ensure business unit initiatives and strategic priorities are aligned with customer account plans.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Emerson products, industry developments, customer projects, and market trends.Industry Engagement

• Represent Emerson at industry events, seminars, conferences, and customer forums.
• Promote Emerson technologies, solutions, and capabilities within the market.
• Strengthening Emerson's visibility and reputation across the EPC and end-user communities.Compliance & Ethics

• Conduct all activities in accordance with Emerson's trade compliance, ethics, quality, and HSE policies and procedures.

You leverage market insights and customer understanding to develop winning strategies and consistently deliver results.

For This Role, You Will Need

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Instrumentation, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in project sales, business development, or end-user sales within process automation, instrumentation, or flow control industries.
• Proven experience working with major EPC contractors in Qatar or the GCC region.
• Strong understanding of project pursuit methodologies and sales cycle management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple opportunities and priorities.Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with QatarEnergy, QatarEnergy LNG, and major end-user project execution practices.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar project sales opportunities from identification through contract award.
• Strong understanding of Control Valve technologies, applications, and industry standards.
• Knowledge of Hydrocarbon, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, and related process industries.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic selling capabilities.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are considered an advantage.Our Offer to You
