Lead the Finance technology, transformation and digitalization agenda by acting as the strategic interface between Finance and Technology. The role is responsible for leading all Finance-related projects impacting the Finance landscape, including Core Banking (Oracle Flexcube), Oracle EPM, OFSAA, Financial Close & Consolidation platform, Finance Data platform, Customer & product Profitability Reporting, Business finance reporting, ERP systems, financial and regulatory reporting platforms, automation and AI initiatives. The incumbent will ensure that Finance requirements are appropriately incorporated into all technology initiatives while driving digital transformation, improving operational efficiency and strengthening Finance data governance. The role is accountable for successful project delivery, ensuring Finance systems support accurate financial, regulatory, management and business finance reporting, and providing regular updates to the Group CFO and senior management on project progress, risks and key milestones.
- Lead the delivery of all Finance digital transformation projects across the Bank, providing a single point of accountability for the Finance change portfolio.
- Establish and direct a dedicated Finance transformation capability — operating in alignment with the Bank’s central transformation governance — providing centralized tracking, governance and control across the Finance major-programs portfolio, with a consolidated view of milestones, interdependencies, risks and decisions for the Group CFO and Steering Committees.
- Define portfolio governance standards, reporting disciplines and escalation thresholds; resolve delivery impediments at working level so that only material decisions require the attention of the Group CFO and his direct reports.
- Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Technology and external implementation partners for all Finance-related initiatives.
- Own the initiation and mobilisation of approved Finance initiatives, ensuring capital budgets are drawn down, deployed and delivered within their approval windows, and that utilisation is transparently reported through the planning cycle.
- Lead the Finance workstreams for Oracle Flexcube implementation and all downstream Finance systems.
- Lead Finance initiatives relating to Finance Technology, Oracle EPM (TRCS-Corporate Tax, PBCS-Budgeting & Forecasting, FCCS-Financial Consolidation, ARCS-Sundry Accounts Exception management & other modules, OFSAA (FTP, ALM, Cost Allocation, PFT, Management Ledger, LRM, LCR), ERP, IBM Advance Planning Analytics, systems, reporting platforms, Data Lake and other Finance applications.
- Develop project plans, monitor milestones, manage risks and ensure timely delivery of Finance project deliverables.
- Provide regular updates to the Group CFO, Finance Leadership Team and Project Steering Committees on project status, risks and mitigation plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related discipline. Professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) and/or Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
- 15-18 years of experience leading large-scale technology transformation and system implementation projects within the banking industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of Oracle Flexcube, Oracle EPM, OFSAA modules FTP, ALM, PFT, LRM & LLFP.
- Strong understanding of Finance Data architecture with knowledge of Data Lake, ERP platforms, enterprise reporting solutions, system integrations, data modeling and banking technology ecosystems.
- Good understanding of financial reporting, regulatory reporting, management reporting, business finance reporting, IFRS and banking finance processes.
- Experience in managing end-to-end project delivery, solution design, system testing (SIT/UAT), testing automation, data migration, digital transformation, AI adoption and automation initiatives.
- Working knowledge of data governance, data lineage and data quality management practices and tooling.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Technology, Business and external implementation partners.
