Overview Of The Role:

• The Sales Assistant at Toys R Us plays a critical role in driving store sales and delivering excellent customer service in a retail environment. This position involves ensuring the store is clean and well-presented, greeting and assisting customers promptly, and executing various operational tasks as directed by the store management team. Success in this role involves creating a welcoming atmosphere, providing customers with essential product information, and maintaining high standards of service throughout the shopping experience.
What You Will Do:

Customer Service

• Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and friendly greeting.
• Provide customers with current relevant information about products.
• Thank all customers sincerely for shopping as they exit the store and invite them back.
• Provide quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers in a timely manner, and attempt to add on to the sale.

Sales and Cash Management

• Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer gift cards, and capture customer information in the database.
• Maintain cash wrap cleanliness.
• Contribute to sales generation by ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Store Maintenance and Presentation

• Create a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness.
• Adhere to visual presentation standards as directed by the store management team.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Customer service orientation.
• Organizational skills to maintain store standards.
• Proficiency in using computer-aided design tools like AutoCAD, Sketchup, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
What Qualifies You For The Role:

• High School Degree.
• 1-2 years of retail sales experience.
• Ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) packages to create visuals and plans.
• Physical ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and perform heavy lifting.
