Role Summary
Nass MEP is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and coordinate the successful delivery of construction and MEP projects from planning through completion.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with required quality, safety, and technical standards. This role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, project management skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of construction and MEP projects, ensuring compliance with approved schedules, specifications, budgets, and quality standards.
- Prepare project estimates, work plans, resource requirements, and detailed project schedules.
- Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and maintain effective cost and cash-flow control.
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and other project requirements in collaboration with the Procurement Department.
- Plan and optimize the allocation of manpower, materials, plant, machinery, and other resources.
- Manage and supervise subcontractors, site teams, and subordinate personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, cost overruns, resource constraints, and operational risks.
- Prepare and submit regular project progress reports, financial variance reports, invoices, and other management documentation.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and implement quality-control measures to ensure work complies with project specifications, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements across all project sites.
- Monitor the effective utilization of plant and machinery and prevent misuse or unnecessary deployment of resources.
- Support timely resolution of technical, commercial, procurement, and operational issues affecting project delivery.
- Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines and in compliance with applicable standards and contractual requirements.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the Division Manager.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in construction, MEP, or related project operations.
- Proven experience managing construction/MEP projects from planning through completion.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, resource management, procurement, and cost control.
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
- Strong understanding of quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Excellent communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within challenging schedules and budgets.
- Strong reporting and stakeholder-management capabilities.
Requirements
