Marketing Specialist-Banking

Job Purpose

To develop and execute marketing initiatives for the bank's products and services, ensuring effective product positioning, customer engagement, and market penetration. The role focuses on promoting banking products, increasing product awareness and adoption, and supporting business growth through targeted marketing strategies and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns for banking products, including retail and corporate banking products and services.
• Promote banking products such as personal finance, credit cards, mortgages, savings accounts, deposits, and other financial solutions.
• Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Digital Banking, and Business teams to understand product features, value propositions, and business objectives.
• Develop product positioning, key messages, and marketing materials to communicate product benefits and competitive advantages.
• Plan and execute product launch campaigns, promotional offers, and customer acquisition initiatives.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product growth.
• Develop targeted marketing campaigns based on customer segments, behaviors, and preferences.
• Monitor campaign performance and evaluate effectiveness against KPIs, including customer acquisition, product penetration, conversion rates, and engagement.
• Analyze customer insights and market feedback to recommend improvements to product marketing strategies.
• Coordinate with creative agencies, media partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver marketing campaigns.
• Ensure all product marketing communications comply with the bank's brand guidelines, internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Prepare marketing reports, campaign performance analysis, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Experience in planning, executing, and monitoring marketing campaigns.
• Good understanding of banking products and financial services.
• Knowledge of digital marketing channels, social media platforms, and marketing tools.
• Experience in market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor campaign KPIs and prepare performance reports.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Certifications

• Professional Marketing or Digital Marketing Certification.
• Google Analytics or Digital Marketing certifications.
• CIM or equivalent marketing qualification.
