IT Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-line IT support to staff and external clients, resolving technical issues promptly and efficiently.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems to minimize downtime.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripheral devices.
• Monitor and maintain company IT infrastructure, including servers, routers, and security systems.
• Document support procedures, incidents, and resolutions to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
• Assist with the implementation of updates, patches, and system upgrades to keep technology up-to-date and secure.
• Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to support ongoing projects and technology initiatives.

• Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or in a similar technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems and networking concepts.
• Experience with server management, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices for protecting IT infrastructure.
• Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional are highly desirable.
Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar IT support role within the UAE.
• Physically fit engineers are required to ensure higher ability in vessel’s support.
