Job Description

As a Duty Manager, you are at the heart of hotel operations, ensuring every guest experiences the warmth, elegance, and personalized service that define MGallery. As an Arabic speaker, you play an important role in building meaningful connections with Arabic-speaking guests, understanding their cultural expectations, and creating memorable experiences that make every stay special.

What you will be doing:

• Oversee daily hotel operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth coordination across all departments.

• Act as the hotel's representative on duty, maintaining MGallery brand standards and operational procedures.

• Welcome and engage with guests, creating warm and memorable first impressions.

• Communicate confidently with Arabic-speaking guests, understanding their needs, preferences, and cultural expectations.

• Ensure VIP guests, repeat guests, and special occasions receive personalized recognition and attention.

• Handle guest complaints, concerns, and special requests promptly and professionally.

• Take ownership of guest issues and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely resolution.

• Conduct regular hotel inspections to ensure service quality, cleanliness, presentation, and safety standards.

• Monitor guest satisfaction and identify opportunities to improve the overall guest experience.

• Guide and support department teams during daily operations, promoting effective communication and teamwork.

• Make timely operational decisions while ensuring compliance with hotel policies and procedures.

• Manage emergency situations, incidents, and operational challenges in accordance with hotel protocols.

• Prepare accurate handover reports, incident reports, and daily duty logs.

• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and Security to ensure seamless operations.

• Monitor arrivals, departures, occupancy, and special events to anticipate operational requirements.

• Support and coach Heartists, encouraging accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.

• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and MGallery quality standards.

• Embody the MGallery spirit through genuine care, refined service, attention to detail, and meaningful guest connections.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Previous experience in Front Office or hotel operations, preferably in a Duty Manager or supervisory position within a luxury hotel.

• Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.

• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, Front Office procedures, and guest service standards.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and support Heartists.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

• Confident decision-making abilities, particularly when handling challenging situations.

• Strong guest relations skills with the ability to anticipate needs and deliver personalized experiences.

• Ability to handle guest complaints and operational incidents with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.

• Good understanding of luxury hospitality standards and the MGallery brand experience.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

• Proficiency in hotel management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to coordinate effectively across different hotel departments.

• Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overnight duties as required.

• Professional grooming, a positive attitude, and a strong sense of responsibility at all times.
