Who We Are
Fueled by passion, KAYALI was founded in 2018 by beauty mogul and fragrance fanatic, Mona Kattan. Translating to ‘my imagination’ in Arabic, KAYALI provides a modern fragrance experience inspired by Mona’s rich Middle Eastern heritage and the art of layering scents to help you create your mood; where sharing scents is a ritual and smelling good is both an act of goodwill and self-love.
Mona collaborates with some of the world’s most renowned perfumers and sources the finest ingredients to create unique juices that are infinitely memorable, long-lasting, and cruelty-free. Each luxurious fragrance is an ode to true craftsmanship and tells a special story, from the addictive notes to the multi-faceted jeweled bottles.
Our Mission
To make everyone feel like the diamond they are! To build a global community of fragrance lovers through the power of scent and by providing them with the most innovative & luxurious fragrances, education and sharing our Middle Eastern fragrance rituals with the world.
Summary:
KAYALI launches at pace across global markets, DTC, retail and distributor partners. The Director of Integrated Campaigns & Marketing Operations will ensure these moments land on time, in full, within budget and to the agreed quality standard.
You will own the global marketing planning calendar and integrated campaign process, bringing together global functions, regions and partners from approved strategy and brief through to in-market execution.
Through clear planning, systems and accountability, you will create one connected way of working that enables teams to move faster, manage dependencies early and deliver KAYALI’s global marketing agenda with excellence.
Responsibilities:
Own the Global Marketing Planning Calendar
- Own KAYALI’s single global marketing planning calendar, serving as the definitive source of truth for every launch, campaign, activation, retail moment and always-on initiative across global and regional teams.
- Ensure the calendar integrates Brand, Creative, Communications, Social, Influencer & Community, eCommerce, Retail, Commercial and regional priorities into one connected view.
- Convene and lead the cross-functional planning rhythm across annual, quarterly and monthly horizons, with clear inputs, decisions, dependencies and owners at every stage.
- Translate business, brand, product and commercial priorities into an achievable and strategically sequenced marketing plan.
- Sequence the year so that launches and campaigns build on one another rather than compete for the same audiences, resources, budgets and attention.
- Ensure regional, retailer and distributor requirements are incorporated early enough to influence planning rather than becoming downstream execution challenges.
- Maintain clear visibility of changes to the calendar, their implications and the decisions required when priorities shift. Lead Integrated Campaign Delivery
- Own the integrated delivery of global campaigns from approved strategy and brief through production, deployment and in-market execution.
- Translate each approved campaign strategy into one integrated campaign plan with clear deliverables, owners, timelines, budgets, dependencies and success measures.
- Bring together global functions, channels and regions around a single campaign plan and shared definition of success.
- Establish clear accountability across workstreams while maintaining an end-to-end view of campaign delivery.
- Ensure every campaign is delivered on time, in full, within budget and to the agreed quality standard.
- Identify gaps, conflicting priorities and delivery risks early, ensuring decisions are made at the right level and at the right time.
- Maintain momentum from strategy through execution, ensuring approved ideas translate into consistent, high-quality consumer experiences across every relevant touchpoint. Launch Planning & Readiness
- Design and run a gated global launch process from concept lock through to in-market execution, with defined milestones, readiness reviews and clear go / no-go decision points.
- Build integrated launch plans that connect global asset development with regional, retailer, distributor and channel execution requirements.
- Chair cross-functional launch readiness forums, ensuring Creative, Brand, Digital, eCommerce, Retail, Social, Influencer, PR, Sampling, Supply, Regulatory and Commercial requirements are confirmed against one shared readiness framework.
- Establish clear readiness criteria for global teams, regional markets, retailers and distributor partners, ensuring success is measured by in-market preparedness rather than simply the completion of global assets.
- Ensure localization, translations, retailer specifications, distributor requirements, digital deployment, fixtures, samples, training materials and other market needs are built into launch timelines.
- Surface gaps early and drive clear ownership of corrective actions.
- Protect quality at pace , holding the line where timing would compromise the work and escalating early enough for decisions to matter. Critical Paths, Dependencies & Risk Management
- Build backwards from every in-market date, mapping critical paths and lead times across creative development, production, packaging, samples, fixtures, localization, regulatory approval, retailer requirements and deployment.
- Make dependencies visible before they become escalations across Product, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Creative, Commercial and regional teams.
- Maintain a live portfolio-level risk view showing what is at risk, what it affects, who owns the resolution, what decision is required and by when.
- Identify resource or capacity conflicts across concurrent launches and campaigns and facilitate prioritization decisions.
- Establish clear escalation routes and decision rights so issues can be resolved quickly. Regional, Retailer & Distributor Readiness
- Build regional and partner readiness into the campaign process from the outset rather than treating localization as a final stage.
- Partner with regional and Commercial teams to understand local market, retailer and distributor requirements and incorporate them into global campaign planning.
- Establish clear deadlines and responsibilities for local adaptation, localization, retailer submissions, asset delivery, training and activation requirements.
- Create visibility of readiness by market, retailer and distributor ahead of every major launch.
- Ensure global campaign standards are protected while allowing appropriate flexibility for local market relevance and commercial needs.
- Identify recurring regional or partner challenges and address their root causes through better planning, processes or ways of working. Marketing Operations & Ways of Working
- Own and continuously improve Marketing’s operating model, including briefing standards, approval routes, decision rights, governance, meeting cadence and documentation.
- Create simple, scalable ways of working that improve speed, visibility and accountability without adding unnecessary process.
- Establish clear roles and responsibilities across integrated campaigns so teams understand where accountability sits and how decisions are made.
- Own the marketing budget process end-to-end, including annual planning, campaign allocation, tracking, commitments, reforecasting and clear visibility of spend by pillar, market and campaign.
- Partner with Finance and Marketing leadership to identify risks, trade-offs and opportunities within the marketing budget.
- Own agency and partner operations, including rosters, scopes of work, onboarding, governance and performance reviews.
- Regularly assess processes and remove activity, meetings or systems that no longer add value. MarTech & Digital Asset Management
- Own the marketing technology ecosystem supporting planning, workflow, project management, collaboration and digital asset management, including the integrations between them.
- Ensure technology creates one connected operational ecosystem rather than a collection of disconnected tools.
- Build and govern a DAM that teams and markets genuinely use, with clear taxonomy, disciplined metadata, version control, usage rights and assets that can be found quickly.
- Establish clear ownership and governance for asset upload, approval, localization, distribution and archiving.
- Drive adoption across global and regional teams and measure whether tools are improving efficiency and visibility.
- Select technology based on usability, adoption and measurable value — and retire tools that do not earn their place. AI Enablement
- Lead the practical adoption of AI across Brand and Marketing, identifying where it can genuinely compress timelines, reduce repetitive work or improve decision-making.
- Prioritize high-leverage use cases including localization and adaptation, asset variants, briefing, competitive intelligence, performance reporting, meeting synthesis and campaign analysis.
- Embed approved AI applications directly into Marketing workflows rather than treating AI as a standalone initiative.
- Establish appropriate guardrails covering quality, brand safety, intellectual property, usage rights, confidentiality and disclosure.
- Build AI fluency across the team so capability is distributed and embedded rather than concentrated with a small number of individuals.
- Track adoption and impact to understand where AI is creating measurable improvements in speed, quality or efficiency. Campaign Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Establish a consistent post-campaign evaluation process for major campaigns and launches.
- Bring together campaign performance, commercial results, earned and social impact, regional feedback, retailer and distributor insights, operational delivery and budget performance into one review.
- Assess not only what the campaign achieved, but how effectively it was delivered.
- Identify what worked, what did not, where rework or delays occurred and what should change as a result.
- Translate learnings into tangible improvements to future briefs, campaign planning, resource allocation, processes and timelines.
- Build an accessible knowledge base of campaign learnings so insights compound rather than being lost between launches.
- Ensure learnings from one campaign directly inform the planning and execution of the next. Operational Scorecard & Performance
- Build and own a clear Integrated Campaign & Marketing Operations Scorecard providing leadership with an objective view of operational and campaign performance.
- Measure delivery against agreed KPIs including:
- On-time and in-full campaign delivery
- Budget performance and forecast accuracy
- Global, regional, retailer and distributor readiness
- Campaign and launch milestone adherence
- Rework and late-stage change
- Asset and DAM adoption
- Tool and process adoption
- Agency and partner performance
- Campaign effectiveness and achievement of agreed objectives
- Identify recurring patterns, bottlenecks and root causes rather than simply reporting individual delays.
- Provide regular, concise reporting to Marketing leadership, highlighting performance, risks, decisions required and recommended actions.
- Use data to continuously improve planning accuracy, operational efficiency and campaign effectiveness. Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Act as the connective tissue across KAYALI’s global Marketing organisation, creating alignment between strategy, creative ambition, commercial priorities and execution.
- Build trusted relationships across Brand, Creative, Communications, Social, Influencer & Community, eCommerce, Retail, Commercial, Product, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Finance and regional teams.
- Create a culture of shared accountability where teams understand that successful campaign delivery is a collective responsibility.
- Facilitate difficult prioritization and trade-off conversations with clarity, objectivity and commercial judgment.
- Lead with calm, structure and transparency in a fast-moving environment with multiple concurrent priorities.
- Build and develop the Integrated Campaigns & Marketing Operations capability as KAYALI continues to scale globally.
- 12+ years of experience in Campaign Management, Marketing Operations, Integrated Marketing or a related role, ideally within beauty, fragrance, luxury or a fast-paced global consumer brand.
- Proven experience leading complex, multi-channel campaigns and product launches end-to-end.
- Commercial and budget literacy –can hold a number and explain a variance.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, stakeholders and deadlines simultaneously.
