Renowned Private Healthcare Hospital is seeking an experienced Consultant Pain Medicine / Consultant Anesthesiologist ā Pain Medicine to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment and management of patients suffering from acute, chronic, cancer-related and complex pain conditions, using both interventional and non-interventional approaches.
The position is ideal for a consultant with strong expertise in interventional pain management, chronic pain, pain procedures and multidisciplinary pain care.
Key Responsibilities
⢠Assess, diagnose and manage patients with acute, chronic and complex pain conditions.
⢠Develop individualized pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management plans.
⢠Perform advanced interventional pain procedures.
⢠Manage chronic musculoskeletal, neuropathic, cancer-related and post-operative pain.
⢠Perform procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections and other image-guided pain interventions as appropriate.
⢠Work closely with anesthesiology, neurology, orthopedics, rehabilitation and other multidisciplinary teams.
⢠Provide evidence-based treatment focused on pain relief and functional restoration.
⢠Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust management plans accordingly.
⢠Participate in clinical education and mentoring of junior medical staff.
⢠Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of recognized postgraduate training in Anesthesiology / Anaesthesiology or an appropriate primary specialty.
Fellowship or recognized subspecialty training in Pain Medicine / Pain Management.
Minimum 5 years of post-specialty/consultant experience, preferably with focused experience in Pain Medicine.
Strong experience in interventional pain management and multidisciplinary pain care.
Demonstrated competence in managing acute, chronic and cancer-related pain.
Experience with image-guided and interventional pain procedures.
Tier 1 / Western qualification preferred, such as:
- UK CCT / CCST / FRCA with Pain Medicine subspecialty
- American Board of Anesthesiology with Pain Medicine fellowship
- Canadian Royal College qualification
- Australian/New Zealand Fellowship
- Irish Board
- FIPP or other recognized Pain Medicine fellowship/qualification where applicable.Eligible for or holding a DOH/DHA/MOHAP Consultant license.
