ABOUT THE ROLE
A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its orthopedic outpatient, trauma and elective surgical services and is seeking an experienced Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon to join its clinical team.
The role offers an opportunity for an internationally trained orthopedic surgeon to work within a modern, quality-driven healthcare environment serving a diverse patient population. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive orthopedic care while working closely with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining high standards of patient-centred care.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and treatment facilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal injuries, degenerative diseases, fractures and a broad range of orthopedic conditions.
- Perform orthopedic procedures according to subspecialty expertise, including arthroscopy, arthroplasty, trauma fixation and hand or foot procedures where applicable.
- Evaluate surgical candidates, obtain informed consent and provide comprehensive perioperative care.
- Collaborate with radiology, anaesthesia, physiotherapy, sports medicine and rehabilitation teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Provide outpatient follow-up, functional recovery planning and appropriate management of postoperative complications.
- Participate in surgical audits, operating theatre safety, infection prevention and clinical governance initiatives.
Applications are welcome from internationally trained Consultant Orthopedic Surgeons holding recognised specialist qualifications such as:
- American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery
- UK CCT / FRCS Trauma & Orthopaedics
- European Board or National Specialist Certification
- Royal College Certification, Canada
- Australian FRACS
- Arab Board
- MS / DNB / FCPS or an equivalent recognised specialist qualification
Candidates from the USA, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia, India, the Middle East, Africa and South America may be considered, subject to eligibility for UAE medical licensing and the healthcare facility's credentialing requirements.
