Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles & Fairmont Doha as our new Assistant Restaurant Manager.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager at Raffles & Fairmont Doha supports the in overseeing daily restaurant operations, delivering exceptional luxury dining experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of food and beverage service. The role involves leading and motivating the restaurant team, ensuring guest satisfaction, managing operational efficiency, and contributing to revenue growth and cost control. The position requires a hands-on leader who can maintain luxury hospitality standards, resolve guest concerns professionally, and ensure smooth coordination between the restaurant, kitchen, and other hotel departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily restaurant activities, ensuring smooth service, operational efficiency, and compliance with hotel standards
• Deliver exceptional luxury dining experiences, anticipate guest needs, handle complaints professionally, and exceed guest expectations
• Supervise, motivate, and train restaurant colleagues to maintain high standards of service and productivity
• Ensure consistent food and beverage service, proper table setup, professional presentation, and adherence to brand standards
• Assist with duty rosters, staff allocation, attendance monitoring, and manpower planning according to business levels
• Drive sales through suggestive selling, menu knowledge, promotions, and upselling of food and beverages
• Monitor food and beverage costs, minimize wastage, control operating expenses, and support budget targets
• Monitor stock levels, conduct regular stock checks, and ensure proper storage and rotation of food and beverage items
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, sanitation, food safety, and workplace health and safety procedures
• Coordinate with the kitchen, stewarding, front office, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations
• Provide personalized service to VIP guests, regular customers, and special occasions while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
• Conduct briefings, provide on-the-job training, and support colleague performance evaluations and career development
• Assist with daily sales reports, operational checklists, guest feedback reports, and other management documentation
• Support the planning and execution of private dining, restaurant promotions, and special events
• Where applicable, assist the Restaurant Manager in achieving operational objectives, maintaining brand standards, and ensuring overall restaurant profitability

Qualifications

What will you bring to this role?

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in restaurant operations, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
• Strong leadership, team management, and staff development skills
• Excellent customer service and guest relationship management abilities
• Good knowledge of food and beverage operations, menu planning, and service standards
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations
• Experience in inventory management, cost control, budgeting, and revenue generation
• Proficiency in POS systems, restaurant management software, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and a passion for luxury hospitality
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Additional language skills are an advantage including Arabic
