The College of Dentistry at Ajman University seeks to appoint a highly qualified candidate for a full-time position in Orthodontics. - Key Responsibilities
- The appointee will be responsible for delivering high-quality didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical teaching in Orthodontics for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The role includes contributing to the continuous development and enhancement of orthodontic curricula in line with accreditation and outcome-based education standards.
- The appointee will supervise student research projects and theses, participate in multidisciplinary research initiatives, and contribute to the scholarly output of the College of Dentistry. Active involvement in research groups and collaborative academic activities within the university is expected.
- In addition, the successful candidate will provide clinical orthodontic services within Ajman University Dental Clinics, ensuring adherence to university policies, professional standards, and patient safety regulations.
- Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery (BDS or DDS).
- PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Orthodontics or a related discipline.
- Completion of structured clinical training and a recognized postgraduate qualification in Orthodontics (e.g., MSc, MDS, Fellowship, or Board Certification) from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated experience in undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching and clinical supervision.
- Proven track record of research, including peer-reviewed publications.
- Eligibility for professional licensure as an Orthodontist in the UAE.
- Eligibility to obtain licensure from the UAE Ministry of Health or relevant regulatory authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
