Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Sociology or Social Work

Ajman University invites applications for a full-time Associate/Full Professor of Sociology, with priority given to male candidates to support gender balance within the department, and a strong preference for applicants specializing in Computational Social Sciences or Digital Sociology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Sociology courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
• Faculty members will be responsible for course development and participating in curriculum and program development
• Supervise master’s theses and contribute to research training
• Maintain an active research agenda with regular publications in high-impact journals
• Engage in funded research projects and interdisciplinary collaborations
• Contribute to curriculum development, program review, and accreditation processes
• Provide academic advising and support departmental activitiesMinimum Requirements:

• PhD in Sociology from an accredited institution
• Demonstrated research productivity in recent years
• Evidence of excellence in university-level teaching
• Excellent Arabic language proficiency (as the main language of instruction)
• Strong English proficiency (written and spoken)
