Specialist Pediatric Pulmonologist- Government Hospitals - Western Qualified

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Specialist Pediatric Pulmonologist to provide comprehensive respiratory care to infants, children, and adolescents. The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of pediatric respiratory and pulmonary conditions while maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients with respiratory and pulmonary disorders.
• Manage conditions including:
• Asthma and recurrent wheezing
• Chronic cough
• Recurrent pneumonia
• Bronchiectasis
• Cystic fibrosis
• Congenital and chronic lung diseases
• Sleep-related breathing disorders
• Respiratory infections
• Interstitial and rare pediatric lung diseases
• Conduct comprehensive pediatric respiratory examinations and formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Order and interpret relevant investigations, including pulmonary function tests, chest imaging, laboratory investigations, and sleep studies where appropriate.
• Perform or assist with appropriate pediatric respiratory procedures according to privileges and competency.
• Provide follow-up care and monitor treatment response.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, medications, inhaler techniques, disease prevention, and long-term management.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, intensivists, ENT specialists, allergists, radiologists, physiotherapists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical case discussions.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Follow UAE healthcare regulations, facility policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety requirements.
• Participate in continuing medical education, clinical audits, quality-improvement initiatives, and other departmental activities.
• Provide emergency respiratory care when clinically required.

• MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics.
• Recognized fellowship/sub-specialty qualification in Pediatric Pulmonology / Pediatric Respiratory Medicine, where applicable.
• Valid BLS certification; additional pediatric life-support certification may be required according to facility policy.
