We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Specialist Critical Care Medicine Physician to join our intensive care team in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients, including assessment, stabilization, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of complex and life-threatening conditions.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical-care expertise, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary ICU environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to critically ill patients in the ICU and other critical-care settings.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients with life-threatening and complex medical conditions.
- Diagnose and manage acute respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, renal, infectious, metabolic, and multi-organ conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized critical-care management plans.
- Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic support, renal replacement therapy, and other advanced critical-care interventions within the physician's scope and facility capabilities.
- Perform and supervise appropriate critical-care procedures according to training, competency, and hospital privileges.
- Manage medical emergencies, sepsis, septic shock, acute respiratory failure, cardiac emergencies, and multi-organ dysfunction.
- Provide airway management and participate in resuscitation and emergency response activities as required.
- Interpret and integrate laboratory results, blood gases, ECGs, radiological investigations, and other diagnostic studies.
- Monitor patients continuously and adjust treatment plans according to clinical response.
- Coordinate care with emergency medicine, cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, nephrology, infectious disease, surgery, anesthesia, and other specialties.
- Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options, and goals of care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary ICU rounds and clinical case discussions.
- Ensure appropriate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, procedures, and patient progress.
- Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, quality-improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.
- Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, ICU policies, infection-control standards, patient-safety requirements, and hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Medicine / Intensive Care Medicine, or an appropriate primary specialty with recognized critical-care training, in accordance with applicable UAE licensing requirements.
- Relevant specialist experience in critical care.
- Valid DHA Specialist license/eligibility or eligibility to obtain a professional license for practice in Dubai.
- Meets the applicable UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR) for the relevant Specialist title.
- Current professional registration and relevant Good Standing documentation, where applicable.
- Valid BLS/ACLS certification; additional critical-care certifications are advantageous.

Requirements
