Overview Of The Role:

• The Senior Manager - Controlling at the Global Treasury Centre is a pivotal role designed to support the Head of Controlling in managing strategic treasury governance activities. This includes developing comprehensive frameworks for treasury governance, leading transformation initiatives, and implementing AI strategies to enhance treasury operations. The role demands a high level of coordination with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with audit standards, and driving innovation in treasury systems and processes. The incumbent will be responsible for providing actionable insights through detailed treasury reports and maintain performance alignment with financial goals. This role operates within a large, complex organizational structure and requires a proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving and stakeholder management.

What You Will Do:

Treasury Governance and Compliance

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of Treasury governance frameworks, including Treasury Policies, SOPs, SLAs, DOAs, RACI matrix, and operating models.

• Ensure effective communication, adoption, and compliance across Global Treasury, GBS, and business divisions.

• Manage the annual review and timely closure of governance and compliance actions.

Treasury Transformation and Process Excellence

• Drive treasury transformation initiatives focused on standardization, automation, control enhancement, and operational efficiency.

• Govern strategic projects including Cash Pooling, In-House Bank, Trade Finance digitization, and Treasury technology initiatives.

• Ensure delivery of treasury projects on time and within budget while reducing manual effort and operational risk.

Treasury AI Strategy & Innovation

• Lead Treasury AI governance and innovation by establishing robust controls for AI development and deployment.

• Ensure compliance with stage-gate processes and drive adoption of AI-enabled reporting, analytics, and decision-support solutions.

• Partner with EIT and AI office to implement the AI Treasury strategy.

• Track compliance with AI governance framework and successful deployment of AI use cases.

Treasury Reporting and Financial Control

• Oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of Treasury reports, Treasury P&L, Balance Sheet positions, and treasury operating costs.

• Provide management with actionable insights.

• Ensure timely publication of Treasury Reports and alignment of performance with budgets, forecasts, and strategic objectives.

• Maintain Treasury P&L and cost variances within agreed thresholds.

Audit, Risk Management & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits.

• Maintain a strong treasury control environment.

• Ensure timely closure of audit findings and achieve zero repeat high-risk audit observations.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Advanced analytical skills and thorough understanding of treasury processes.

• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

• Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP TRM and Power BI.

• Proven ability to manage pressure, influence colleagues, and collaborate with stakeholders.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• CA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent certification is required; additional treasury coursework (ACT or similar) is beneficial.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within a large organization managing treasury operations and controls.

• Advanced knowledge in analytical treasury processes, banking, hedging, and trade finance.

• Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP TRM, and data visualization tools like Power BI.
