Public Relations Officer, Legal Department

The Public Relations Officer will be a member of the Legal team, managing government and regulatory liaison for Optasia's UAE corporate entities — trade licenses, incorporations, annual returns, amendments, and liquidations — while also coordinating equivalent corporate and licensing processes across the Group's international entities. This is a corporate/company-administration focused role; the position does not cover employee visas, labor, or HR-related processes, which sit with other departments.

What you will do

UAE (primary base)

• Process new trade license applications, renewals, and cancellations for UAE Group entities (mainland, JAFZA, DMCC, and other free zone-registered companies)
• Handle company incorporation procedures for new UAE entities, including licensing, registration, and initial approvals
• Manage company liquidation and de-registration procedures, coordinating with the relevant free zone authority, DED, and other government bodies
• Prepare and process MOA/AOA amendments, share transfers, director/shareholder changes, and other corporate amendments with the relevant licensing authority
• Liaise with DED, JAFZA, DMCC, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other free zone/mainland authorities on corporate registration matters
• Attest and legalize corporate documents (MOAs, board resolutions, powers of attorney, certificates) through MOFA and relevant embassies/consulates
• Manage office tenancy renewals, Ejari registration, and related municipal approvals tied to licensing requirementsGroup / Multi-Jurisdiction Coordination (Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Malaysia, Mauritius, and others as required)

• Act as the internal coordination point between the Legal Department and local corporate secretarial agents, registered agents, and legal counsel handling incorporation, licensing, and liquidation matters in each jurisdiction
• Track and monitor new license applications, license renewals, and corporate registration deadlines for Group entities outside the UAE
• Maintain a consolidated tracker of trade licenses, registrations, and corporate filings across all jurisdictions, flagging upcoming expiries or required actions
• Support new market entry and entity set-up processes, coordinating with local counsel/agents on incorporation and licensing requirements
• Coordinate cross-border corporate matters such as director/shareholder changes, UBO/PSC filings, and regulatory or sector-specific license applications (e.g. financial services/fintech licenses)
• Support with Group bank account openings and relevant bank KYC updates.
• Support due diligence and entity administration exercises spanning multiple jurisdictions
• Prepare status reports and escalate risks or delays to the Legal and Compliance ManagerGeneral

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all trade licenses, corporate registrations, and incorporation/liquidation documentation across jurisdictions
• Build and maintain relationships with government officials, free zone authorities, and registered agents to expedite processing
• Exercise discretion in handling sensitive corporate documentationWhat you will bring

• 3–5 years' PRO or corporate administration experience in the UAE, with a proven track record in company incorporation, trade license processing, and liquidation across mainland and free zone (JAFZA/DMCC or similar) entities
• Degree in Law or Business Administration (or related field) welcomed
• Strong knowledge of UAE licensing regulations, and free zone/mainland corporate frameworks
• Hands-on experience with new license applications (including sector-specific/regulated licenses) is a strong advantage
• Prior exposure to coordinating corporate/licensing matters across multiple African and/or Asian jurisdictions is highly advantageous
• Fluency in English required; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage
• Valid UAE driving license
• Strong organizational skills, multitasking, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines across time zones
• Comfortable working as part of a centralized Legal team, liaising with multiple external agents/counselLocation : Dubai, UAE (travel to Group offices if required)
