Overview Of The Role:

• The Assistant Finance Manager position plays a crucial role in financial planning, analysis, and decision-making within Hertz and Moov's Financial Services division. This role involves partnering with operational management to drive revenue, optimize costs, and improve financial performance. The Manager will provide financial guidance, prepare forecasts and budgets, and ensure alignment of financial plans with business objectives. Additionally, they will be involved in reporting, process enhancement, and supporting automation initiatives, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement within financial operations.

What You Will Do:

Commercial Business Partnering & Decision Support

• Partner proactively with Operation Management to evaluate and drive revenue, margin, cost saving initiatives, and fleet performance across Rental, Leasing, and Subscription business.

• Support in evaluating investment decisions: non-fleet CAPEX and fleet CAPEX.

• Manage Profit Center and Cost Center reporting with recommendations on cost/margin efficiency improvements of profit-generating and supporting business functions.

• Act as a financial thought partner in Leasing and Rental business reviews, challenging assumptions, stress-testing forecasts, and providing commercial perspectives on growth initiatives.

• Conduct commercial control of OPEX, Direct fleet associated cost, and manpower cost, including validation and assessment of purchase requisitions.

• Support in fleet utilization and optimization initiatives through analyses of channels, vehicle segments, products, seasonality patterns; revenue yield per unit, idle fleet cost; maintenance and sales cycle lead-times.

• Monitor, develop, and support the implementation of commercial KPIs in periodic reports/dashboards (daily/weekly), analyzing trends, highlighting deviations from targets and performance risks, and opportunities.

Preparation of Forecasts and Budgets

• Coordinate quarterly forecasts and planning exercises.

• Manage entity Cash Flow preparations and coordinate cash planning and transfers with Group Treasury.

• Prepare Monthly reporting packs, BRM (Business Review Meeting), and FRM (Finance review meeting) presentation decks.

• Enhance and automate management reporting, trend historical and forward-looking reporting via BI tools or other dashboard solutions.

• Perform ad hoc FP&A reporting and financial modeling as requested by the manager.

• Support requirements gathering, design, testing, and implementation of financial planning tools for Lease, Rental, and Subscription financial statements.

Reporting & Analyses

• Coordinate financial planning inputs from business functions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.

• Prepare Monthly Financials pack for entities.

• Conduct mid-month forecasts as required.

• Maintain Group Financial reporting, planning, and analysis tools (upload Budget/Forecast/Flash/Strategic plans and other relevant schedules and reports).

• Provide periodic analysis of variances between financial plans and actual results, offering explanations for key revenue, cost, and margin drivers.

• Conduct Monthly, Quarterly, and Ad-hoc reporting for Lease, Rental, and Subscription divisions.

Others

• Develop, maintain, and enhance internal process controls and implement internal audit recommendations in collaboration with divisional Risk and Operations functions.

• Develop and customize reports in SAP/BI based on business requirements.

• Explore and implement process automation using modern tools like AI and BI.

• Ensure system development documentation access, revision, and validation; represent the Finance department in system testing cycles.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Advanced proficiency in AI tools, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SAP.

• Knowledge and familiarity with IFRS accounting standards.

• Proven experience working in high-volume, transaction-intensive environments with large business scale and complexity.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions and stress-test forecasts.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• Master's or bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Corporate Finance, or a related field.

• Professional accounting or finance certification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification.

• 5+ years of experience as a Financial Business Partner and/or FP&A role within large multinational and diversified corporations.

• Experience in the leasing and rental industry, with an understanding of commercial, operational, and financial drivers; Automotive/Financial services experience is a plus.
