This is an opportunity to join a business shaping large-scale destination experiences while supporting the financial discipline, governance, and commercial oversight needed to deliver complex operations effectively.
As Senior Director - Finance and Control, you will lead a broad function at the heart of City Operations, acting as a key interface between the City Operations Business Unit and Central Finance. Operating in a highly dynamic operational environment the role will oversee financial management, governance, risk, procurement and contracts, The role deals with a wide variety of stakeholders and has significant interaction with the City Operations business leads, translating their operational needs into clear, effective financial and commercial processes to support performance, accountability, and control.
Responsibilities
- Lead the centralized Finance and Control function across City Operations, covering finance, governance, risk, controls, procurement, and contract management.
- Ensuring clear priorities and effective ways of working are established for the team, overseeing a diverse range of skills sets and tasks
- Support the Head of City Operations and business leads in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost control for City Operations
- Oversee teams leading invoicing, intercompany charging, service charge management, and ensure adequate controls are in place to support operational performance.· Working with City Operations business heads, lead financial, KPI and cost efficiency initiatives – ensuring contracts are resourcing are fit for purpose and maximiseoperational effectiveness and financial performance.
- Implement, run and ensure adherence to governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, including forums, policies, committees’ managements and standards.
- Working with the City Operations businesses, lead procurement and contract activities, ensuring sourcing, approvals, vendor performance, and contract lifecycle activities align with company requirements.
- Coordinate with central functions including Finance, Procurement, Legal, Risk, and Compliance to address City Operations requirements.
- Coordinate and respond to internal and external audits
- Support the development of City Operations processes, procedures, delegation of authority requirements, and financial controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Operations or project management, or urban management.
- 12-15 years of relevant experience, including senior-level experience in business partnering finance roles, including experience in governance, risk, controls, procurement, contract management, or commercial operations.
- Excellent commercial acumen and experience in working with stakeholders to create operational and cost efficiencies
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, reporting, cost control, invoicing, service charge, and cost recovery mechanisms.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, contract lifecycle management, vendor performance, and commercial controls.
- Experience establishing or operating governance, risk, compliance, controls, and business continuity frameworks.
- Experience coordinating with central corporate functions and translating operational requirements into financial and commercial processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia.
- Background in a fast-moving operational environment, preferably in in the real estate sector is a plus.
