Job Overview:
The Delivery Driver ensures the timely and safe delivery of medications and medical supplies to patients and healthcare facilities. This role involves maintaining excellent customer service, adhering to all safety and compliance guidelines, and representing GluCare Integrated Diabetes Center in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Management:
• Collect and verify delivery items, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging of medications.
• Deliver medications to patients and healthcare facilities promptly, following assigned routes and schedules.
• Obtain proof of delivery and ensure all delivery documentation is completed accurately.Compliance and Safety:
• Adhere to all local traffic regulations and GluCare’s delivery protocols.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of medications to maintain their integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Follow all confidentiality guidelines related to patient information and medical records.Customer Service:
• Provide courteous and professional service to patients and healthcare professionals during deliveries.
• Address patient queries or concerns and escalate them to the appropriate team if necessary.Vehicle Maintenance:
• Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of the delivery vehicle.
• Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs promptly.Administrative Tasks:
• Record delivery activity accurately, including mileage and fuel expenses.Understand, follow and support all hospital infection control programs
Requirements
• Valid UAE driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a healthcare or pharmacy setting.
• Knowledge of Dubai roads and neighborhoods, also Abu-Dhabi and other emirates.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle medications with care and ensure compliance with delivery protocols.
• Flexibility in work hours, including weekends and holidays.
