Assistant Manager - Legal (UAE National)

We’re looking for an experienced legal professional who can think critically, provide practical advice, and independently manage complex legal matters. What’s the role?
• Make the complex clear: Provide practical legal advice to business and operational teams on a wide range of legal matters.
• Protect what matters: Identify legal risks, assess their impact, and recommend effective solutions.
• Get contracts right: Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Keep us compliant: Ensure legal documents and activities meet UAE laws, banking regulations, corporate governance standards, and internal requirements.
• Support better decisions: Analyse legal and management information and present clear insights to support decision-making.
• Build strong partnerships: Work closely with teams across Rakbank, external parties, and legal advisers to achieve business objectives.
• Make legal work smarter: Identify opportunities to improve legal processes, service quality, efficiency, and the stakeholder experience.
• Help others grow: Guide and support junior legal team members while promoting consistent, high-quality legal advice across the function. What do you bring?
• A bachelor’s degree in Law.
• At least five years of legal experience, preferably within banking, financial services, or another regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE laws, banking regulations, corporate governance, and legal risk management.
• Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts and legal documents.
• The ability to evaluate complex legal information, identify risks, and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Membership of, or progress towards, a relevant professional legal body or qualification would be an advantage. Why Rakbank?
