Street Light Works Supervisor

The Electrician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities at project sites. The role ensures that electrical works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, company standards, and relevant regulations. The Electrician Supervisor leads electrical teams, monitors progress, and ensures the timely completion of projects while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, and coordinate electricians and electrical technicians on-site.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor workforce productivity.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to team members.
• Evaluate employee performance and ensure adherence to company procedures.
• Oversee electrical installation works, including power distribution systems, lighting systems, cable laying, control panels, and electrical equipment.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance activities are carried out efficiently.
• Verify that installations comply with project drawings, specifications, and applicable electrical standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all electrical work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company HSE policies.
• Conduct regular inspections of completed work to verify quality and compliance.
• Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project schedules and report progress regularly.
• Ensure the availability of materials, tools, and manpower required for the work.
• Assist in planning work activities and resource allocation.
• Maintain daily work reports, inspection records, and site documentation.
• Track material consumption and submit material requests when required.
• Report project progress, delays, and technical issues to management.
• Assist in preparing completion reports and project handover documentation.

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, distribution panels, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Valid driving license is an advantage.
