Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to support manufacturing operations. This role serves as the technical expert between production, quality, controls engineering, IT, and business systems, ensuring real-time manufacturing data, traceability, process control, and operational efficiency across the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead MES deployment, configuration, enhancement, and lifecycle management.
- Maintain MES applications, workflows, routing, genealogy, traceability, and production execution functionality.
- Ensure MES system reliability, availability, and performance.
- Manage user access, security roles, and system governance.
- Integrate MES with:
- PLCs and automation systems
- ERP systems (SAP)
- Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Equipment and test stations
- Industrial databases and reporting platforms
- Support production line launches, process changes, and new product introductions.
- Provide technical support for shop-floor MES issues.
- Ensure accurate collection of production and process data.
- Develop and maintain genealogy and traceability solutions.
- Support serialization, VIN tracking, torque traceability, and quality records.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and quality requirements.
- Support audits and system validations.
- Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Maintain documentation, change management, and validation records.
Skills:
- SAP/ERP integration
- Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Rockwell FactoryTalk ProductionCentre (FTPC)
- Automotive manufacturing processes
- Production operations and workflow design
- Quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
- Traceability and genealogy systems
- Lean Manufacturing principles
- Strong verbal and written communication
Minimum Qualifications:
- BSc/Master Degree in Engineering required (Industrial Engineering or Mechanical preferred).
- 5+ years in a high-volume OEM manufacturing background is a Must.
- Minimum 4 years of Experience within the same role is Required.
- Able to influence, gain consensus and can interface well with senior management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous projects.
- Strong data analysis and visualization skills.
- Familiarity with SAP Quality Module is required.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System application is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
