Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join our Project Management Consultant (PMC) team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of a mixed-use development project, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will serve as a key liaison between our organization, contractors, architects, engineers, and stakeholders, demonstrating strong leadership and decisive project management throughout all phases of construction.
- Oversee all aspects of mixed-use construction projects from pre-construction planning through final completion and handover
- Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
- Coordinate and supervise all subcontractors, construction teams, and vendors to ensure efficient project execution
- Monitor project progress against established timelines and budgets, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Ensure strict compliance with UAE building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to maintain construction standards and specifications
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, reports, and progress updates for stakeholders
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks and issues in a proactive manner
- Manage project communications and facilitate effective collaboration among all project stakeholders
- Review and approve change orders, submittals, and construction documentation
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols on all project sites
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of professional construction management experience on large-scale or mixed-use projects
- Proven experience working as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) or in a similar advisory capacity
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction codes, regulations, and building standards
- Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
- Proficiency with construction management software and project management tools (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project)
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and direct diverse teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comprehensive understanding of construction safety standards and risk management protocols
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently and effectively
- Preferred: Experience managing projects in the UAE or Middle Eastern region
