The Group Tax team at Emirates Group is responsible for managing all aspects of the Group's global tax affairs. This includes tax compliance, tax planning, and tax advisory services. The team works closely with our operational businesses to ensure that we comply with all applicable tax laws and regulations and to minimize our tax burden.
We are looking for a technically strong tax professional with broad experience across corporate and international tax. As a Senior Tax Specialist in our Group Financial Reporting and Taxation department, you will bring solid knowledge of corporate income tax, tax reporting, and provisioning, with a clear understanding of how tax interacts with financial reporting.
You should be confident navigating global tax compliance requirements, including CbCR, Corporate Tax, and the recent OECD Pillar 2 initiative. In particular, the ability to interpret and apply legislation in a practical business context is key. Experience with tax technology ideally Oracle TRCS is important, alongside the ability to support tax-efficient structuring on transactions such as M&A, reorganisations, and financing. A strong grasp of tax risk, governance, and audit processes will round out your technical toolkit.
This role is ideal for a meticulous and initiative-taking tax professional who enjoys working across compliance, reporting, advisory, and process improvement in a complex environment. You will partner with a wide range of stakeholders, contribute to key business initiatives, and play a key role in strengthening governance, controls, and systems. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with sound judgement, collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset.
In this role, you will:
- Support the preparation and review of direct tax advice for a range of Group initiatives, including new business activities, restructurings, financing arrangements, and strategic projects.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of tax compliance obligations across jurisdictions in coordination with internal teams and external advisors.
- Prepare, review, and validate tax reporting outputs, including returns, provisions, accruals, reconciliations, and management reports, ensuring alignment with financial reporting standards and Group policies.
- Identify, assess, and communicate tax risks and regulatory developments to senior management, ensuring appropriate mitigation actions are implemented in line with the Group's tax governance framework.
- Maintain and strengthen tax control frameworks and data integrity by conducting regular reviews, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate master data and reporting inputs across systems and entities.
- Drive collaboration across Finance, IT, external advisors, and global teams while supporting tax system initiatives, enhancing automation, improving processes, and providing user training to ensure effective adoption and continuous improvement.
- Manage tax audits and authority interactions, including responding to queries, supporting investigations, and ensuring compliant and timely resolution of all tax-related matters.
Qualification
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Professional qualification in accounting and/or taxation such as CA, ACCA, CTA
- Experience in Indirect and Direct Tax
- 5+ years in Taxation with at least 3 years spent in a Big 4 firm or equivalent.
You will have an edge if you have:
- 3+ years in implementing Oracle TRCS for large organisations or in the tax technology team in Big 4s.
- Good grasp of UAE and international tax concepts such as corporate tax and Pillar 2 regulations
- Working knowledge of IAS 12 - Income Taxes.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with Senior Management internally and externally

Requirements
- •Technically strong tax professional with broad corporate and international tax experience
- •Solid knowledge of corporate income tax, tax reporting, and provisioning
- •Understanding of how tax interacts with financial reporting
