Quality Assurance &Quality Control Engineer

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance and quality control activities at site to ensure all construction works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, client requirements, and applicable standards. The role supports the effective implementation of the Integrated Management System (IMS), including Quality, Health & Safety, Environment, and Information Security.

Requirements

Quality Planning & Documentation

• Prepare and coordinate with Engineers for the approval and acceptance of the Site Quality Plan.
• Develop Site Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) in line with project specifications and contractual requirements.
• Maintain and control all QA/QC documentation at site for final submission and handover.
• Maintain records of design documents and manage submissions of deliverables to the Engineer/Consultant.

Site Quality Control & Supervision

• Supervise the QA/QC team to ensure routine inspections, testing, and quality checks are carried out effectively.
• Monitor site activities against approved ITPs, method statements, and quality procedures.
• Review look-ahead schedules to align quality inspections with planned site activities and progress.
• Supervise concrete works, including site testing, sampling, and record keeping.

Testing & Compliance

• Coordinate and organize third-party laboratory tests as per project specifications.
• Oversee material testing activities and maintain accurate testing logs and reports.
• Coordinate with Consultants for all laboratory tests, approvals, and related records.

Method Statements & Procedures

• Review method statements from quality and safety perspectives prior to implementation.
• Ensure compliance with project QA/QC requirements, Quality Control Specifications (QCS), and applicable standards.

Training & Continuous Improvement

• Conduct quality induction and training for new staff and workers on company quality policies and procedures.
• Promote QHSE and ISMS policies across site operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System (IMS).

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with the Site Management Team to ensure effective quality assurance and implementation of IMS procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager, Project QA/QC Manager, or Manager – QA/QC & MR.

Accountability

• Ensure timely and effective implementation of QA/QC activities to meet client and contractual requirements.
• Ensure Information Security Management System (ISMS) requirements are implemented at the project level.
• Ensure the safety and welfare of the workforce in coordination with site management and safety teams. Required Area of Expertise:
