Medical Physicist-TLD Service

The role of a Medical Physicist directly involves the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of medical imaging modalities.
The quality and safety aspect can be divided into the following three areas:
(a) acceptance testing of imaging modalities to ensure patient safety and image quality, (b) periodic evaluation of imaging modalities to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, and (c) evaluation after major repairs/service of imaging equipment to ensure patient safety and image quality.
