Gastroenterologist Specialist- Government Hospitals

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Specialist Gastroenterologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care for patients with gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders.

The successful candidate will assess patients, establish diagnoses, develop individualized treatment plans, perform appropriate gastrointestinal procedures within their clinical privileges, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

• Provide appropriate pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure follow-up.
• Identify and manage gastrointestinal emergencies, including GI bleeding, acute pancreatitis, and other acute presentations.
• Review laboratory, imaging, pathology, and endoscopy findings and formulate appropriate management plans.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, dietitians, and other specialists.
• Provide preventive gastroenterology services and appropriate cancer-screening recommendations.
• Educate patients regarding diagnosis, medications, lifestyle modifications, diet, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and quality-improvement initiatives.
• Follow UAE healthcare regulations, infection-control procedures, hospital policies, and patient-safety standards.
• Participate in CME/CPD activities and contribute to professional education and training where applicable.

• MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine.
• Recognized specialty qualification in Gastroenterology or an accepted equivalent.
• Current UAE professional license or eligibility for Specialist licensing.
• Valid BLS certification; additional certifications may be required according to facility policy.
