Responsibilities:

• Oversee multiple design projects simultaneously, establishing project scope, schedules, and budgets while monitoring progress against established milestones
• Coordinate internal design teams and external consultants, ensuring seamless collaboration and information flow throughout project lifecycles
• Manage design documentation, review deliverables for quality and compliance, and implement corrective actions when projects deviate from planned parameters
• Provide technical guidance and design direction across various project phases, from schematic design through construction documentation
• Review and approve design concepts, drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation to ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
• Resolve complex design challenges, make critical design decisions, and ensure design solutions are constructible, cost-effective, and aligned with project objectives
• Lead, mentor, and develop design team members, fostering professional growth and technical competency
• Assign project responsibilities, provide performance feedback, and promote collaborative work environments
• Communicate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate coordination and resolve conflicts
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, presenting design concepts and addressing concerns
• Establish and maintain quality control processes, ensuring all design work meets organizational standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive design experience
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent tools
• Strong understanding of building codes, accessibility standards, sustainability principles, and construction methods
• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes and project management software
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with proven track record of successfully managing complex design projects
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
