The purpose of the role is to manage and process finance and accounting activities for EMOIL and EMDAD, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, project accounting, cash flow monitoring and management reporting, in line with EMARAT policies, IFRS and applicable accounting standards. The role acts as the finance focal point for EMOIL and EMDAD and supports governance, audit requirements, Board reporting and follow-up of management and Board decisions.
Direct Reportees: None. The position coordinates with Finance, Terminal Operations, JV Partners, suppliers, customers, auditors, IT and Shared Services to ensure timely transaction processing, reporting, follow-up and control compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for EMOIL and EMDAD.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain General Ledger accounts, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Monitor balance sheet accounts and follow up outstanding or reconciling items.
- Ensure accounting entries comply with EMARAT policies, IFRS and approved procedures.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, business plans and cash flow projections.
- Analyze actual performance against budget and provide variance explanations.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA or CMA is preferred.
- 3-5 years of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and closing experience.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, petroleum, terminal operations, JV accounting or related industries is preferred.
- Experience in audit coordination, reconciliations and internal control requirements is preferred.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of IFRS, UAE accounting requirements and Company policies.
- Knowledge of Oracle Financial systems or similar accounting systems.
- Understanding of internal controls, ICFR and Delegation of Authority principles.
- Analytical skills, attention to detail and strong follow-up discipline.
- Good communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred.
