Job Summary
A leading private hospital in the UAE is looking for an experienced Consultant Urologist to provide comprehensive urological care for adult patients. The role involves diagnosing and managing a broad range of urological conditions, performing advanced surgical procedures, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in general and complex urology, excellent surgical skills, and a recognized Western postgraduate qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of urological conditions.
- Manage common and complex conditions involving the urinary tract and male reproductive system.
- Perform elective and emergency urological procedures and surgeries.
- Manage conditions including urinary stones, BPH, urinary obstruction, infections, and urological cancers.
- Perform endoscopic and minimally invasive urological procedures where appropriately trained.
- Evaluate and manage male reproductive and sexual health conditions.
- Provide appropriate preoperative, operative, and postoperative care.
- Interpret relevant laboratory investigations and diagnostic imaging.
- Work closely with radiologists, oncologists, nephrologists, pathologists, and other specialists.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with patient-safety and infection-control standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, and continuing professional development.
- Medical degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Urology.
- Recognized Western qualification such as UK CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Irish, or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Consultant-level experience in Urology.
- Strong experience in general and complex urological conditions and surgical procedures.
- Experience with minimally invasive/endoscopic urology is preferred.
- Subspecialty expertise in areas such as Uro-Oncology, Endourology, Robotic Surgery, Andrology, Female Urology, or Reconstructive Urology is an advantage.
- Experience in a tertiary, multispecialty, or leading private hospital is preferred.
- Strong clinical and surgical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
